Getting Metrolink Train Service Updates

Handy Info 

Metrolink offers line-by-line service updates via Twitter:

     Monday – Friday, 4:00am to 11:30pm
     Saturday – Sunday, 6:00am to 11:00pm

Text Updates Instructions

On a Computer:

  1. Login to your twitter account at www.twitter.com
  2. Click on “More” with the three dots on the left navigation  
  3. Once you see a menu drop-down, select “Settings and privacy”
  4. On the left navigation, select “Account” and then “Phone”
  5. Add mobile number if it’s not already listed and select your individual preferences
  6. Click save changes

On a Mobile Device:

  1. Go into the Twitter application. On the Metrolink account(s) you’d like to receive text updates from, tap the bell icon with the plus sign to turn notifications on for those accounts
  2. Navigate to “Settings and privacy” by clicking on your profile photo in the top left corner, then “Notifications,” then “SMS notifications” and then “Tweets”
  3. Select the Metrolink account(s) you’d like to receive text messages from to turn on text message alerts

How to Stop or Change Text Updates 

On a Computer:

  1. Login to your Twitter account at www.twitter.com
  2. Click on your profile photo to access the menu drop-down and select “Settings and privacy”
  3. Select “Account,” then “Phone”
  4. Click “Delete phone number”
  5. Click save changes
